About Spiceland Kids

Spiceland Nazarene Church prioritizes kids ministry by incorporating multiple activities/object lessons into each weekly Bible lesson. Kids ministry consists of grades K-5. One of the amazing ministry opportunities consists of each child has their own personal “prayer buddy”.

 

A “prayer buddy” is an adult who prayers specific prayers for their assigned kid, gives small gifts on special occasions (ie birthdays, Christmas, etc), and sends “snail mail” on a regular basis. The kids engage by sending their “prayer buddy” letters/post cards via mail. This encourages discipleship at a very young age.

Your First Visit

Our kids start out in the sanctuary with the adults each week. After our time of worship the kids gather together for a lesson that is made for them! The kids will also sing songs and also participate in making a craft.

Safety

Our children’s workers are trained through a program called, Ministry Safe. We have nurses in our chruch who can provide care in case of an emergency. All outside doors to our kids area are locked on Sunday mornings during our children’s service.

What We Teach

Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at Spiceland Church of the Nazarene is for kids to understand who Jesus is and how He can make a difference in their lives. They will also have a lot of fun!
